About this project
Bike share in KC is off to a great start, but we need your investment today for the future.
Bicyclists are an indicator species for vibrant and successful cities
Kansas City B-cycle is a grassroots, nonprofit bike share system. We debuted our first 12 B-stations on July 3rd and were warmly embraced by all of Kansas City. We need your support to finish our capital campaign and a build a sustainable system that thrives and expands to serve more of KC’s amazing neighborhoods.

Bike share is already making a huge difference in the lives of Kansas Citians. Since July 3rd, over 1200 people made 4000 trips on B-cycles. We have ridden more than 12,000 miles, offset 11,000 pounds of carbon, and burned over 500,000 calories. Kansas Citians are getting healthier and being green at the same time!
Bike share is here, and you can ensure it is here to stay. We need to raise $700,000 to close out our capital campaign, wrap up our inaugural 2012 season, set the stage for a successful 2013 season, and plan for future expansion.
We love this city, and we believe that making it a better place to bike is vital to making it a better place to live, work, visit, and play. We know you agree. Hundreds of people have volunteered their time and energy to help us assemble bikes and roll them out onto the streets of Downtown. The story of bike share in Kansas City is the story of grassroots champions rolling up their sleeves to work hard and build a vibrant city.
Brand a bike for maximum exposure for your company!
Whether you are resident, visitor, business, ally, urbanist, advocate, bicyclist, or KC booster, you can make an investment in helping Kansas City blossom into a dynamic and thriving city.
Because of you – we have bike share, and because of your contribution today – it will be here to stay.
